OLIVIER GIROUD won the Puskas Award for best goal of the year at a star-studded bash in London.
The Arsenal star won the award after his stunning scorpion kick against Crystal Palace.
Giroud, 31, won the award at a star-studded bash hosted by A-lister Idris Elba at the London Palladium.
He said: “Thank you very much. It’s an honour for me. I’m delighted to receive this trophy in front of legends of football.
“I’d like to thank the people who voted for me. I’d like to thank the other nominees who scored amazing goals too.
“Obviously I thank my team-mates too. Without them I cannot score this goal.”
The Frenchman has featured largely as a sub for Arsene Wenger's men this season.
His winner at Red Star Belgrade had echoes of his strike against Crystal Palace as he hit an exquisite overhead kick into the top corner.
Giroud has scored four goals this season for club and country.
Other candidates for the prize had included Moussa Dembele, Mario Mandzukic and Nemanja Matic.
