LOW-LIFE burglars who robbed an office building in Merseyside decided AGAINST stealing tickets for Everton’s Europa League clash with Lyon tonight.
David Hughes made the discovery when he found his place of work had been burgled.
But despite nicking just about everything in sight, the burglars made a point about Everton’s terrible season by leaving behind tickets for their upcoming European clash at Goodison Park.
Hughes revealed: “The building where I work is three floors and every office in the whole place was targeted by thieves.
“Our van was stolen, petty cash tins as well as IT equipment from all the offices in the building.
“My first thought was shock because my Everton ticket was still there.
“Then I started laughing with a mate and fellow Blue in the office that we are so bad at the moment even thieves don’t want tickets to our games.
“I feel like the least the thieves could have done was take the ticket off my hands.
“And I’m hoping they get caught so I can pass the ticket on to them and they can do me a favour by finishing the job they started.”
Everton have indeed been poor, winning just two of their eight league games, and supporters will be hoping for a bit of continental cheer this evening.
