Ronaldo earns around £45m in wages and £25m in endorsements
CRISTIANO RONALDO has been toppled by JK Rowling on the list of highest-paid European celebs.
Harry Potter author Rowling, 52, raked in £71million in the last year.
Real Madrid ace Ronaldo, 32, with £70m, came second in the league table compiled by US business magazine Forbes.
Portuguese superstar Ronaldo, 32, took home £70.4m in 2016.
He is believed to have asked for a new deal at Real that would see him land £500,000 a week AFTER tax.
Ronaldo signed a deal in November of last year that sees him bank an incredible £45m a season from basic pay alone.
On top of that he is paid around £15m a year from his Nike deal.
And other sponsors like Armani, Konami, Tag Heuer, Samsung and Herbalife all help bring the figure up to a stonking £70m.

Ronaldo has started this season in typical form, notching eight times in eight games.
Real are five points back from leaders Barcelona in La Liga.
Ronaldo was on target as Real drew 1-1 with Tottenham in the Champions League on Tuesday.
