Kevin De Bruyne plays down half-time bust-up with Manchester City team-mate David Silva

Etihad superstar says he regularly has similar rows with his missus - after a flare-up with his skipper in the Champions League win over Napoli

KEVIN DE BRUYNE has played down his half time bust-up with David Silva - saying he regularly has similar rows with his missus.

The Manchester City pair were seen in a heated debate as they headed down the tunnel during Tuesday's thrilling 2-1 home Champions League group win over Napoli.

A clearly-angry KDB could be heard urging his skipper to 'let him talk' as he tried to get to one of the officials.

Silva and Fernandinho were guiding him away - no doubt mindful the Belgian had already been booked.

But the £54million ace said it was the type of argument which happens regularly and was quickly forgotten about.

De Bruyne said: "We just had a little discussion. A minute later, that’s forgotten.

"I have those sometimes with my wife too. Maybe you do too, I suppose? Sometimes it’s needed - and it's normal.

"Not everything is always positive. But this was something small.

"Some people often say or see that I’m frustrated, but that wasn’t the case. I was just a bit annoyed.

"And for a minute I lost myself. One minute and it’s done. And I don’t mind.

"At the highest level a discussion can be good sometimes. To get everyone at their toes again."

Meanwhile de Bruyne is in no rush to sign a new deal at the Etihad - but is confident it will get resolved.

He is looking for a significant pay rise on his current £115,000 a week deal - which also includes sizeable bonuses. *

*But he said: *"My agent has been already to see Txiki and talks are coming. I am patient and don't stress it.I have time."
