Seven-up City stars look to take runaway Premier League form into Champions League date with Italians

GABRIEL JESUS was at full stretch as rampant Manchester City turned their attention to the Champions League.

The teenage striker was at full pelt in training he as paired up for a tackling exercise with midfielder Ferandinho.

City entertain Napoli on Tuesday night in what promises to be a fascinating clash between two very good footballing sides.

The Citizens warmed up for their Euro group match by thrashing Stoke City 7-2 on Saturday.

Jesus was twice on the score sheet in a game dominated by the passing brilliance of man-of-the-moment Kevin de Bruyne.

Pep Guardiola's man have won their last nine matches in all competitions, netting a combined 34 goals in that run.

Napoli are actually the only team in Europe’s top five leagues to have won all of their league games this season.

But the Italians were beaten by Shakhtar Donetsk earlier in the Champions League and will be want get over that with a morale-boosting win over City.

Both teams play some breathtaking attacking football and this could be a real spectacle.

Guardiola is again without injured pair Vincent Kompany and Benjamin Mendy. But that won't worry him.

But the Spaniard is a different character this season.

He received a hostile reception to the Premier League in not winning a trophy last season for the first time in his illustrious career.

Now, not only does he seem to have adapted to the intensity of the English game, he's got European glory in mind, too.

There is a feel-good factor about his approach and style of play, one that may guide City to Premier League and Champions League glory.
