Granit Xhaka caught picking nose as he lets Tom Cleverley in to score Watford winner against Arsenal
GRANIT XHAKA has been caught picking his nose instead of trying to stop Tom Cleverley scoring Watford's late winner against Arsenal.
The Gunners crashed to a humiliating defeat at Vicarage Road when England midfielder Clerveley struck to seal a 2-1 win for the Hornets.
The ex-Manchester United man enjoyed the freedom of the penalty area to arrive to slot home the winner.
And now footage has emerged showing it was tough tackling Xhaka who let Cleverley run unmarked - because he was too busy scratching his nose.
The £30million midfielder was caught out taking a rest as the match entered the third minute of stoppage time.
He switched off as Watford pressed forward, and was in mid-pick when Cleverley spotted his opportunity to strike.
And by the time the Swiss international realised his mistake, the ball had been dispatched beyond Petr Cech and Watford had secured the points.
After the game Gunners boss Arsene Wenger claimed the decision to award Watford a penalty to level the scores was "scandalous".
But he may now have something to say to the midfielder about what he thought he was doing at such a crucial stage of the game.
The footage heaps more humiliation onto Arsenal who were already reeling by the way they slipped to a defeat that leaves them nine points off the top.

And they were given a further hammering by Watford goalscorer Troy Deeney, who accused Arsenal of lacking the "cojones" and stomach for the fight.
Deeney was scathing about the way he was about to unsettle the Arsenal defenders after he had come on as substitute.
And his criticism has only heaped further pressure on Wenger, who has already been under fire this season for the way his team have performed.
