FANCY FOOTWORK

Eden Hazard branded ‘Eden McGregor’ as he does a boxing workout and medicine ball push-ups during Belgium training

EDEN HAZARD has been showing off his fancy footwork of another sort – this time ducking punches.

The Chelsea playmaker has been in training with his Belgium pals and has been showing his skills with the gloves.

Hazard, 26, was filmed by Michy Batshuayi during a training session with his national team ahead of their World Cup qualifiers away to Bosnia and Herzegovina and at home to Cyprus.

Roberto Martinez’s side are home and dry in the race for Russia, eight points ahead of Bosnia and Herzegovina in second and nine ahead of Greece, who are currently third in Group H.

Belgium have smashed in 35 goals and let in just three since being knocked out of Euro 2016 by Wales – but critics might query the quality of their opposition.

And pals Hazard and Batshuayi looked to be enjoying training during their national team’s gathering.

Former Manchester United youth product Adnan Januzaj was also in the gym with Hazard and performed a push-ups workout with his team-mate.

Martinez might want to use the last two games to rotate some of his players.

Romelu Lukaku has missed two training sessions with the Belgian squad but Roberto Martinez wants to keep him rather than send him back to Manchester

United star striker Romelu Lukaku has missed two training sessions with the squad.

Martinez promised he won’t rush back the £75million striker any time soon and risk him for Jose Mourinho’s blockbuster clash with Liverpool after the break.

The former Everton boss said: “Romelu is working separately. He hasn’t joined the group yet since he arrived. We need to be a little bit patient.

“For me, I see that it is a bit difficult for him to be involved on Saturday, but we are still hopeful that he can be involved on Tuesday.”
