Cristiano Ronaldo has had same four words printed on his boots throughout entire career in touching tribute to childhood
CRISTIANO RONALDO has had the same four words printed on his boots throughout his entire career, in a touching tribute to his childhood.
The Real Madrid superstar, 32, has always had "El sueno del nino" - which means "Dream of a child" - on his footwear.
Ronaldo claims to read the words before each and every game to always remember his humble beginnings and his incredible rise to prominence.
The phrase is printed into the heel of all of his boots.
On the story, Ronaldo revealed: "It [means]: Dream of a kid. It was my dream to play here, for this club.
"It's good because I'm part of the history and part of the boot."
Despite the lovely touch, Ronaldo has been misfiring for Real Madrid in 2017-18.
As well as serving a five-match suspension of pushing a referee, Ronaldo has failed to score a single goal in La Liga this term.
The Portuguese star has unleashed 22 shots in 2017-18 - more than any other player without scoring in the Spanish top flight.
However, Los Blancos boss Zinedine Zidane is unconcerned by the drought, saying it's only a matter of time before CR7 finds his shooting boots again.
