The Yorkshire side are fifth in the Championship with boss Thomas Christiansen looking for additional firepower in January to boost their push for promotion.

Ings scored 21 goals in 40 appearances when he last played in the second tier as he helped guide the Clarets to promotion in the 2013-14 season.

And ESPN say Leeds are hoping he can rediscover this form should they secure his signature in the winter window.

Up next for the Whites who have lost their last two league games is a home game against Reading.
