Everton transfer news: Blues set to offer 19-year-old Beni Baningime new deal amid Manchester United interest
BENI BANINGIME is set to be offered a bumper new deal at Everton to fend off interest from Manchester United.
The Congo-born 19-year-old has been attracting a host of admirers after numerous impressive displays for the Toffees' Under-23 side.
His efforts helped the Merseysiders to win the Premier Division 2 title last season - and also caught the attention of Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho and his talent spotters.
And now the are now claiming he is set to be offered a long-term contract at Goodison Park in order to thwart United's attempts to lure him to Old Trafford.
Baningime signed his first professional deal with the Toffees a year ago, but that runs out at the end of the season.
They now want to tie him down to stave off rival interest and will offer him a significant pay rise.
Everton legend David Unsworth, who is in charge of their U23s, has compared Baningime to a younger version of Chelsea star N'Golo Kante.
The youngster won the Keith Tamlin award last year after his fine displays.
