Carlo Ancelotti SACKED by Bayern Munich after giants’ shocking start to the season
Bundesliga giants are looking at Willy Sagnol and Julian Nagelsmann as the man to replace the struggling Italian boss
CARLO ANCELOTTI has been SACKED by Bayern Munich after the club's shocking start to the 2017-18 season, according to Bild.
The Bundesliga giants are sitting down in third in the German top flight, following their atrocious pre-season.
On top of that, the Munich club were on the receiving end of a 3-0 humiliation at the hands of Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League on Wednesday.
Bayern looked in trouble this summer, as they lost to Arsenal, AC Milan, Inter Milan, Liverpool and Napoli in pre-season.
However, that form has leaked into the season proper, as Ancelotti has paid the price for the club's failings, in just his second season in Germany.
Despite four wins from their first six Bundesliga games, they slipped to a 2-0 defeat to fellow title-chasers Hoffenheim and most recently drew 1-1 with Wolfsburg.
In Europe, they followed their 3-0 win over Anderlecht - who were also thumped 3-0 by Celtic this week - with the big loss at the hands of PSG.
Following the defeat, Arjen Robben all but confirmed he would NOT get behind Ancelotti.
Having been asked if he would back the Italian, Robben claimed: "I will not answer that. It was a painful defeat, we can talk about this.
"When it is a game as big as this, you never want to lose.
"I'm now in my ninth season with Bayern, this is something I am not accustomed to. But it's part of football."
Now, Ancelotti has been sacked by the Munich club, as they look at Hoffenheim's 30-year-old chief Julian Nagelsmann.
However, club legend Willy Sagnol could be the man to take over the Allianz Arena, as reports in Germany claim the club are considering a move.
