BOLTON are giving Karl Henry the chance to resurrect his career and save their season.
Phil Parkinson has signed midfield warrior Henry for rock bottom Wanderers on a short-term deal.
Henry has been looking for a club since being released by QPR but is an experienced operator at Championship level and above.
Parkinson can sign extra players after Bolton had transfer restrictions lifted and Henry may be the immediate answer.
Henry, 34, played 118 games for QPR, scoring twice.
The 34-year-old will leave Loftus Road having made 118 appearances for the club, scoring two goals.
Before that he earned England Under-20 caps during seven years with Stoke and then played more than 250 matches for Wolves.
Barnsley were linked with him during the summer, not surprising given his reputation as a reliable hard-worker.

He even left Loftus Road on good terms, tweeting at the time: "QPR is a special football club and I feel privileged to have represented you.
"I've been fortunate enough to play under a number of excellent QPR managers and coaches and alongside some outstanding footballers.
"More importantly, I've had the pleasure of working with genuinely nice people on a daily basis."
Bolton are also looking at old boy Joey O'Brien, 31, as they seek reinforcements while looking for a first win.
The Republic of Ireland full-back left West Ham in the summer after five years.
