Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane remains positive as his under-par side chase first-ever Champions League win at Borussia Dortmund
ZINEDINE ZIDANE has compared Casemiro to two of his fellow French legends as he remained upbeat ahead of attempting to guide Real Madrid to a first-ever win at Borussia Dortmund.
The Champions League holders and current La Liga title holders have endured a difficult start to the new campaign.
They are already seven points behind Barcelona in the domestic table and face a daunting trip to an unhappy hunting ground in Germany on Tuesday.
But boss Zidane is remaining upbeat and says the victory over Alaves over the weekend has given his side a platform to build on.
He said on Monday: "We are feeling good, after a good victory at the weekend we are looking forward to playing the Champions League again.
"It is difficult to play in any stadium. We have never won in Dortmund and it is a challenge [to win.]
"We want to play good football and for it to be a good match.
"This match can be a turning point, but every three days we have to prove ourselves.

While Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale often dominate the headlines at the Bernabeu, Brazilian midfielder Casemiro has played a key role in their recent success.
And his efforts have not gone unnoticed by Zidane, who believes his talents are equal to two of his former French World cup legends.
Zidane added: "He can be compared to [Claude] Makelele or [Didier] Deschamps.
"Every time a player balances between defence and attack they are doing a job like those guys.
"What he has achieved does not surprise anyone and he is getting better with every season."
