Valencia boss Marcelino pulls his hamstring after celebrating winner against Real Sociedad
Says a limping Marcelino: 'I pulled it quite hard. As long as it's only me getting injured, it's not a problem'
VALENCIA boss Marcelino got more than he bargained for when Simeone Zaza's 85th-minute goal sealed the 3-2 win over Real Sociedad.
For Marcelino's celebration was cut short... by a pulled hamstring.
The 52-year-old clutched his left leg as the reality set in that he had suffered an injury normally reserved for players.
But he managed to laugh off the pain and told : "As long as it's only me getting injured, it's not a problem if it's the coach.
"I pulled it quite hard. I'm getting on a bit, after all.
"Those are situations in which I should control myself better. I've come away with a bit of a limp."
Victory meant Valencia had emerged unscathed - or at least the team has - from two tough matches against Real Madrid and Atletico.
Said "We have played against both Real Madrid and Atletico yet we are undefeated.
