NEYMAR has lost the ball more times than any other player in Europe this season.

Despite being the world’s most expensive player, it seems Neymar is still not immune to mistakes in the beautiful game.

According to , Neymar has been dispossessed 23 times so far in the new campaign.

And in most circumstances, that would be a stat best kept secret by the player in question.

But when looked into more closely, it appears there’s a viable reason behind the numbers.

In fact, it actually seems to make sense as Neymar has also attempted the most dribbles on the continent as well, per .

The Brazilian has taken the ball on a mazy run 61 times since joining Paris Saint-Germain.

That’s 20 more dribbles than any other player – and equates to 50 per cent more than his next closest competitor, Lyon’s Nabil Fekir.

It’s also revealed that Neymar has also completed more dribbles than anyone else.

Out of his 61 attempts, the ace has been successful with 40 of them.

That’s virtually two-thirds, meaning PSG’s £198million may actually start to look like a bargain very soon.
