BURNLEY remain unbeaten away from home after grinding out a 1-1 draw against Liverpool at Anfield.
Scott Arfield expertly put the Clarets in front in the 27th minute, but Mohamed Salah equalised almost immediately for the Reds.
Jurgen Klopp will be left wondering how his side failed to get the win after missing a handful of opportunities.
Philippe Coutinho, Daniel Sturridge, Emre Can and Dominic Solanke all went close, but Sean Dyche's side held out for the point.
Stand-in goalkeeper Nick Pope produced a masterclass with a string of second half saves.
Burnley took the lead after another defensive mix-up at the back, as Robbie Brady's header found Arfield, who half-volleyed the ball beyond the outstretched arms of Simon Mignolet.
But just three minutes later Salah netted his third Premier League goal of the season, rifling low under Pope with a fierce low drive.
Countless chances went begging for Liverpool in the second period, as Pope was called into action on nice occasions.
LATEST LIVERPOOL NEWS
Trent Alexander-Arnold had a deflected volley expertly denied when it looked as though it was creeping in the bottom right corner.
Then substitute Solanke somehow missed from six yards out as his volley cannoned off the bar.
However Ben Mee could have won the game for Burnley in the closing stages, as he had a header cleared off the line by Joel Matip, then another attempt well saved by Mignolet.
Liverpool drop to seventh in the table, behind Burnley who sit in sixth place with a better goal difference.

WHAT THEY SAID
Burnley goalkeeper Nick Pope said: "We were really resilient and defended really well. Right from the front we chased every ball, got together and stuck at it, I think we deserved it in the end."
Clarets manager Sean Dyche said: "They made seven changes had some fresh faces. I'm not afraid to get the ball forward and I thought that was effective. Our shape was good and Popey was excellent in goal.
"We know it's tough coming to these places and we are willing to do the bits that are nitty gritty in the game. Very few teams will come here and dominate, we knew we would have to do the basics. Now and again you need a bit of luck.
"We are still learning a little bit, me included but I'm very pleased with today."
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp said: "I'm not happy, I'm angry with the result but pleased with the performance.
"It's our fault. We were dominant, fantastic attitude. We played good, were fluent with seven changes. But only one goal.
"When you have shots on goal it's not about their defending. Their keeper made a few outstanding saves. I'm not happy as when Solanke hit the bar I am sure it was a penalty.
"It's the best we have played against Burnley since I have been in. In the past we didn't feel good in the game. Today I saw fluid movements, passing between the lines, speed, crosses.
"We have to take the point and carry on. Philippe was a really good game. He had a little cramp at the end. We did not plan to take him off but we had to decide differently."
