Paul Pogba injury: Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho furious with Pogba as star midfielder faces up to six weeks out injured

The Old Trafford boss and his staff blame the £89m ace for ignoring medical advice over a long-time hamstring problem

JOSE MOURINHO is furious at Paul Pogba who faces up to six weeks out.

The Manchester United boss and his staff BLAME the midfielder for ignoring medical advice over his long-standing hamstring issues.

And it means there is no sympathy for  the £89million club-record buy over an injury which means he will miss a substantial chunk of the autumn.

Pogba limped out of the 3-0 Champions League win over Basel on Tuesday with a torn hamstring.

He missed three games last term with a similar injury — and was given clear instructions by United  medical staff  to prevent any recurrence.

But it has emerged Pogba has instead been receiving treatment from a personal trainer.

Rather than following club advice, which he was consistently asked to do, Pogba has undertaken a private training regime.

And Mourinho and his medics believe this made the midfielder far more vulnerable to injury.

Ironically, the Frenchman was busy yesterday hailing the upcoming return of crock Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The Swedish striker, 35, is edging closer to fitness after agreeing a new deal while still out with a knee injury.

And Pogba said:  "He is very important to the group and when he is in the team he makes the other sides scared of him as well.

“When they see Zlatan and know we have big players like this, they fear the club.”
