Jan Vertonghen was shown a second yellow card and will miss Tottenham’s next Champions League clash

Vertonghen received a second yellow card after his arm caught Dortmund midfielder Mario Gotze in the face and left him in a pile on the floor spitting blood.

And now Bild are reporting that the World Cup winner will need dental work after his teeth were moved out of place.

The German club’s coach Peter Bosz said: “Mario has a problem with his teeth, and will need to go to the dentist.

“It does not look good for him. Some of his teeth are no longer in their proper places.

“It is painful simply for me to talk about it.”

Vertonghen blasted ref Gianluca Rocchi’s decision to send him off, claiming the clash was an accident.
