Louis van Gaal claims Manchester United decided to replace him with Jose Mourinho was because they are ‘all about money’
Ex-Ajax and Barca boss was ruthlessly dismissed just days after FA Cup success and has finally broken his silence
LOUIS VAN GAAL believes he was sacked by Manchester United because the club is "all about money".
The Dutchman hit out the manner of dismissal last summer — which came just days after winning the FA Cup.
He claimed his "head was in a noose" as the club publicly courted Jose Mourinho while remaining quiet behind the scenes.
And now reveals the decision to replace him with the former Chelsea and Real Madrid boss for "commercial reasons".
He explained: “Manchester United had record [financial] figures in the two years that I was there.
“And don't underestimate what that means for United. Nothing as important as the figures for United.
“Look, every big club needs a good organisation.
"The people in charge can run the club in football way or in a commercial way.
