ALEXIS SANCHEZ has appeared to put his transfer heartache behind him as he raises a smile in Arsenal training.
The Gunners forward, 28, failed to fashion a move to Manchester City during the summer.
Both Sanchez and team-mate Mesut Ozil were expected to leave the Emirates as they entered the final year of their contracts.
However, both have stayed put, with Sanchez seemingly happy to put the unrest behind him and crack on.
Arsenal had looked set to lose the Chilean forward, even discussing a deal with City involving a part-exchange with Raheem Sterling.
Yet Etihad chief Pep Guardiola revealed that would never happen, saying: “They want to make a swap with Raz. They talk to me and I said no chance. Zero chance.
“Not one percent chance to make a swap with Alexis and Raz.
“I trust a lot with him. He is 22, English he has a lot of gap to improve. The only deal if possible is cash.

“We try to make an offer, they accept, but in the end they could not sign the player they wanted to sign, Alexis stayed in Arsenal.”
Sanchez smiled along at Friday morning's training session, as well as boss Arsene Wenger, as the Gunners prepare to take on Bournemouth on Saturday.
Elsewhere, Arsenal stars including Alexandre Lacazette, Hector Bellerin and Ozil were put through their paces at London Colney.
