Chelsea star Eden Hazard believes he is worth staggering £275m following Neymar’s mega-move to PSG

CHELSEA star Eden Hazard has claimed that he would be worth £275million in the current transfer market.

The market has escalated this summer as a number of blockbuster deals were made.

Neymar’s world-record £198m move from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain smashed the previous record of £89m paid by Manchester United to Juventus for Paul Pogba last year.

And that has left the Belgian international curious as to what his value would be.

Speaking to HNL, he joked: “I don’t know how much I would cost. Maybe €300 million?

“It all depends on the market. Neymar is a Brazilian, has a lot of potential, is a year younger than I am and played for Barcelona.

“A transfer fee also depends on your contract and on a number of other things.

“We will see how much I am worth if I ever get a transfer.”

But fear not Chelsea supporters, the 26-year-old is not considering quitting Stamford Bridge any time soon – although he did admit yesterday that he is still waiting to begin talks for a contract extension.

Real Madrid have long been linked with the attacker and Barcelona were also rumoured to be considering signing him as a replacement for Neymar.

But Hazard said: “I didn’t really think about a transfer much – although maybe it did cross my mind [that I could have joined Barcelona following Neymar’s transfer].

“A lot has happened this transfer window. That’s a good thing.”

“Every time someone leaves a club, other players could come in to replace them. If it isn’t me, then at least it’s someone else. But I am feeling well at Chelsea.

“I have just started my sixth season here and I am enjoying myself.”
