WEST HAM are reportedly plotting an ambitious swoop to bring in Barcelona midfielder Andre Gomes within the next 24 hours.
The Hammers are desperate to bolster their squad after a miserable start to the campaign.
According to , Slaven Bilic has switched his attentions from Sporting Lisbon's Portugal star William Carvalho to his international colleague.
And he has instructed London Stadium chiefs to try and get the deal over the line before the transfer window slams shut.
Barcelona are willing to allow the 24-year-old to leave.
Gomes only joined the Nou Camp side from Valencia last summer.
However, he does not feature in new manager Ernesto Valverde's plans and will need to leave in order to get regular action.
He only figured 17 times for Barcelona in La Liga last season.
