Manchester City flop Fabian Delph £10m target by Stoke boss Mark Hughes before deadline day
FABIAN DELPH could finally end his Manchester City nightmare and switch to Stoke City.
Mark Hughes is reportedly interested in the England international, as is Leicester boss Craig Shakespeare.
According to the , Stoke are looking to capture Delph, 27, for around £10million.
The Potters have made some solid additions to their squad over the summer, with Kevin Wimmer joining in defence from Tottenham yesterday in an £18m deal.
Jese Rodriguez has also arrived from Paris Saint-Germain on loan, scoring the winner in their shock victory over Arsenal.
But Hughes knows Delph would add hunger and experience to his midfield - and help maintain Stoke's proud record of remaining in the Premier League.
Leicester are also interested in landing the former Aston Villa and Leeds midfielder.
But Hughes must offload Giannelli Imbula first, with Toulouse looking a likely destination for the Belgian.
TRANSFER NEWS
Delph has had his fair share of injury troubles since joining City from relegation-threatened Villa two years ago.
He was a regular England international at the time and has nine caps to his name.
Meanwhile Stoke forward Bojan Krkic looks to be heading back to La Liga, with Alaves lining up a loan spell.
