Manchester City transfer news: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang still a target for Pep Guardiola in final days of window

MANCHESTER CITY are reportedly set to make a late raid for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The striker wants to leave Dortmund and is said to have been further frustrated that Ousmane Dembele was allowed to leave for Barcelona, but yet they closed the door on his exit.

say that City will make the offer before the end of the window, with Paris Saint-Germain and AC Milan monitoring developments.

Pep Guardiola knows the Gabon international from his time in Germany and is said to be a big admirer from his time in charge of Bayern Munich.

It is also claimed that City were quoted £73million for Aubameyang when they enquired earlier this summer.

While City have the financial muscle to find that kind of cash, it remains to be scene whether Dortmund soften their stance.

France winger Dembele has just completed a £138m move to Barca, making him the second most expensive footballer in history.

And with Dortmund now flush with cash but short of firepower, it would appear unlikely that supremo Hans-Joachim Watzke would let Aubameyang leave for any less.

However, the report suggests the player is unhappy that Dembele has been allowed to move and he hasn’t.

Chelsea and Milan were being linked with a move earlier this summer when Watzke ended Aubameyang’s hopes of moving and side time had run out for him to leave.

In a dig at the clubs, the Dortmund CEO said: “At one point, Borussia Dortmund needed planning security.
