ALEXIS SANCHEZ wants £400,000 a week to stay at Arsenal, according to reports.
The Gunners have had a £300,000-a-week deal rejected by the Chile star, whose contract runs out next summer.
And the reports only a pay package which would see him become the Premier League's highest paid player would suffice.
Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba earns the most of any player in the league on £290,000 a week.
Man City boss Pep Guardiola is desperate to sign Sanchez, 28.
When asked whether City are still considering a move for the former Barcelona ace, he said: "He’s an Arsenal player, like [Jonny] Evans is a West Brom player. You have to ask Alexis."
Sanchez missed Arsenal's start to the season after picking up a training injury.
But Arsene Wenger insists his star player is fit ahead of today's trip to Anfield - and has not let transfer speculation affect him.
