Roma 1 Inter Milan 3: Mauro Icardi scored twice in the second half and Matias Vecino hits late third as Nerazzurri earn vital three points despite being second best in battle of title contenders
Home side took an early lead through Edin Dzeko and hit woodwork THREE times — and inexplicably lost this clash
MAURO ICARDI scored two late goals to turn defeat into victory as title contenders Roma and Inter met in the Italian capital.
With questions being asked of Juventus this season, there's a real sense that the title is in offing if someone can stake a genuine claim for it.
And this was a meeting of two teams who are certainly in that bracket.
The hosts were far better in the first half and deservedly took the lead through Edin Dzeko's neatly-taken goal.
He controlled Radja Nainggolan's through ball and fired past Samir Handanovic.
Roma then hit the wordwork THREE times with ferocious strikes from Aleksandar Kolarov, Nainggolan and Diego Perrotti.
While Stephan El Shaarawy had a shot acrobatically cleared off the line.
But, despite their dominance, they couldn't find a second.
