Diego Costa ‘welcome’ at Everton as Ronald Koeman goes in search of adding one more striker to his squad
EVERTON boss Ronald Koeman admits he is eyeing a loan move for Diego Costa.
Koeman still wants to add another striker to his squad despite splurging £132million on new players since last season.
The Dutchman take his Toffees to Stamford Bridge this weekend, but will not have to worry about facing Costa.
The Spain striker has been exiled by Chelsea boss Antonio Conte.
And there seems no end to their public spat, with Costa again accusing Conte of being "disrespectful" earlier this week.
Costa wants a return to Atletico Madrid but is in limbo with the Spanish club banned from buying players until January.
If he is to eventually get his wish, Costa may have to accept a temporary move - and Koeman is open to it being at Goodison.
When asked about the possibility, Koeman said: "I don't know, I said always a warm welcome for every good player and he's a good player.
"We are still looking to bring a striker in.
"I'm really happy with the performances of Dominic (Calvert-Lewin), but he's still young and we need more competition in front with the strikers.
"You need competition and the most difficult things for young players is being regular in performances, but Dominic is like Tom Davies, exceptional, and he's doing really well."

Ross Barkley still appears set to leave Goodison but Koeman left the door ajar to a route back into his squad.
Asked whether a contract remains on the table for Barkley, Koeman said "I don't know, we've not spoken about this.
"If Ross is staying then I'm pleased if he stays because it's one more good player in the team. That's a decision by the board."
