FOOTBALL fans vented their fury at Manchester City vs Everton being ruined by smoke... from pre-match fireworks.
A host of flashes and sparkles were set off inside the stadium ahead of kick-off at the Etihad.
But the subsequent smoke clouded the air and made it difficult for viewers at home to see what was actually happening on their screens.
One viewer said: "Banter that pyro is banned for supporters but Man City's entrance is the worst I've ever seen it effect a game."
Another tweeter posted: "That smoke from the fireworks at Etihad is absolutely ridiculous."
One wrote: "Well somebody at the Etihad hasn't thought through the fact that firework smoke can linger...!"
A fellow user said: "The amount of smoke generated by the pre-match display at The Etihad is ludicrous. Entire stadium under a grey shroud at KO."
Another posted: "Close up views of the players now at The Etihad... shame you can't see them through the smoke from the pre-match fireworks."
One user said: "Have I developed cataracts without realising it or is there actually some kind of smoke screen thing going on at the Etihad?
