Arsenal transfer news: Juan Cuadrado wanted despite flopping at Chelsea as Gunners miss out on Thomas Lemar
Gunners turn their attention to Juventus winger as Arsene Wenger looks to continue with big-money signings
ARSENAL are reportedly stepping up their interest in Chelsea flop Juan Cuadrado after missing out on Thomas Lemar.
claims Arsene Wenger is keen on bringing Juventus winger Cuadrado back to the Premier League despite the Colombian enduring a dismal six months while playing at Stamford Bridge.
Cuadrado has spent the last two years on loan in Turin and made his move from Chelsea permanent in May this year.
However, Juventus are open to selling him and are ready to entertain any offers put forward for his signature.
Arsenal’s top target was previously Lemar, but Monaco made it clear they had no intention of selling him after already offloading a couple of key players.
And it now means Cuadrado is the Gunners’ new top target, with the 29-year-old also able to play as a forward or a wing-back.
However, Arsenal apparently face stiff competition from Roma and Inter Milan.
Roma want a new wide-man in the Italian capital and have turned their attention to Cuadrado after failing to prise Riyad Mahrez away from Leicester City.
