Arsenal transfer news: Gabriel Paulista arrives at Valencia Airport ahead of completing £10m move to La Liga club
The Brazilian centre-half is leaving London for pastures new after failing to really establish himself at the Emirates
GABRIEL has landed in Valencia ahead of completing a £10million move from Arsenal.
The centre-half failed to really establish himself at the Emirates since joining from Villareal for £11.3m and now Arsene Wenger is to cut his losses.
He had fallen below Rob Holding, Laurent Koscienly, Shkodran Mustafi and even usual left-back Nacho Monreal in the centre-half competition.
Gabriel started his career with Brazilian club Vitoria before moving to the Yellow Submarine in Spain.
He joined the Gunners just two season ago, with Wenger desperate to sign a centre-back.
Wenger is trying to offload a number of flops this summer, which is proving more difficult than hoped.
Kieran Gibbs, Carl Jenkinson, Mathieu Debuchy and Lucas Perez are all wanted off the wage bill.
Jack Wilshere, Theo Walcott and Olivier Giroud could also face the chop, with Everton eyeing their French striker.
But Arsenal are adamant Alexis Sanchez, Mesut Ozil and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are not for sale.
