WEST HAM flop Sofiane Feghouli was punished by the club after crying off sick from a young supporters’ party.
The Algerian winger was sold to Galatasaray this week after just one season in which he made little impact on the pitch.
Club insiders say the 27-year-old won’t be missed after he failed to show up for an event with hundreds of Junior Hammers desperate to meet their heroes.
The incident took place at the end of last season when Feghouli claimed to be too ill to attend.
But that didn’t stop West Ham from hitting him with disciplinary action following an investigation.
Feghouli signed a three-year deal with the Hammers after joining on a free transfer from Valencia in June 2016.
The 2012 Algerian Footballer of the Year arrived with a good reputation, having played more than 100 times for the Spanish club and having appeared at three major tournaments
But he scored only three goals and got one red card in 21 Premier League appearances during his disappointing year in East London.
