Tottenham striker Vincent Janssen spotted shopping for Chelsea shirts ahead of Wembley clash with Blues
VINCENT JANSSEN had a rough debut season at White Hart Lane and provided many moments that got Spurs fans tearing out their hair.
He didn’t do himself any favours as he committed one of the most blasphemous acts a Tottenham player can ever do – get caught browsing through the Chelsea shirts at a sports shop.
Unfortunately for Janssen his crime was caught on camera at the store in Oxford Street last week.
He was particularly interested in the Blues’ training shirt but it is unknown if he actually made the purchase.
Maybe his struggles on the pitch have lead him to want a move from the club and this is his unconventional method of telling Chelsea he wants in.
But with just two Premier League goals, both from penalties, Chelsea doesn’t seem like a likely destination.
He has however had some interest from Broussia Monchengladbach this summer so it may not be the only new kit he checks out before the transfer window closes.
The 23-year-old will be back in his Tottenham shirt on Sunday as the London rivals match up in their first Premier League clash of the season.
His one saving grace is he wasn’t actually wearing it like his team-mate Georges-Kevin N’Koudou got caught doing earlier this summer.
He later and he meant no disrespect but he didn’t know.
Maybe the incoming Tottenham players need a more detailed run down on the big no-nos to avoid asking for trouble.
