ARSENE WENGER has reiterated that Alexis Sanchez is going nowhere this summer.
The wantaway Arsenal star jetted to Paris over the weekend with his girlfriend, though reports claimed his agent went with him to talk with PSG chiefs over a potential transfer.
Manchester City and Chelsea are both also linked with Sanchez, 28, whose contract runs out at the end of the season.
But a defiant Wenger, when asked whether the Chilean will still be at Arsenal when the transfer window shuts on August 31, said: "Yeah, of course."
Liverpool have rejected Philippe Coutinho's transfer request as he tries to force through a move to Barcelona.
But Wenger is not surprised at the club's staunch stance.
When asked whether this is a sign of clubs taking back power from precious players, he said: "It's different to say power back.
"It looks unusual to the media sometimes that the clubs want the contracts to be respected. For me it looks logical.
"I am amazed that you are amazed because it looks normal."
The Frenchman, who signed a new two-year Emirates deal in May, added: "If I sign a contract I respect it.
"Of course if a club releases me it's normal that I can go somewhere else.
"I know when I signed two years for Arsenal that Arsenal have my contract and I have to respect it."
