Chelsea to make second bid for Leicester midfielder Danny Drinkwater next week
Antonio Conte's Premier League champions to make another move for England star as Blues continue their summer recruitment
CHELSEA will make a second attempt to sign Leicester City's Danny Drinkwater this week, according to reports.
The Blues have already had one bid of £15million rejected by the Foxes this summer.
But that has not deterred Antonio Conte, with the claiming he is plotting another attempt to bring him to West London in the coming days.
The Premier League champions will up their offer considerably to try and secure the 27-year-old.
Conte will go back to King Power chiefs with a £25m bid to try and reunite the star with N'Golo Kante.
The pair were catalysts for the Foxes as they stunned the football world by winning the title back in the 2015/16 campaign.
Kante exited the Midlands outfit last summer - but he could soon be joined by his former team-mate.
However, the move is nowhere near a formality.
LATEST CHELSEA NEWS
Leicester do not want to lose one of their main men and will put up a fight to keep hold of him.
Drinkwater is believed to be interested in a move to Chelsea.
And the Foxes could even demand £40m - the same fee the Blues received from Manchester United for Nemanja Matic.
The Serb's departure has left Conte short of options in the middle of the park and it remains to be seen whether Drinkwater will be the man to fill that void.
