LEEDS have rejected a £16million bid from an unnamed Premier League club for striker Chris Wood.
But it is believed to have come in from a team other than Burnley, who have seen a £12m bid rejected earlier.
According to Sky Sources, the Clarets have refused to confirm they tabled a bid for the 25-year-old, but they might have to move quickly now amid more interest.
Sean Dyche has made signing Wood his top priority and wants the powerhouse striker to replace Andre Gray.
Former Brentford hitman Gray has joined Watford for £18million.
Dyche intends to use the bulk of that windfall to prise Wood away from Elland Road.
The Kiwi international has become a cult figure with fans since his £3m signing from Leicester City in July 2015.
Wood, 25, is one of the hottest properties in the Championship after smashing in 27 goals last season to top the division’s scoring charts.

Wood scored in Leeds United’s 3-2 opening day win at Bolton last week.
