NEWCASTLE UNITED are trying to sign Stoke forward Joselu.
Rafa Benitez has earmarked the Spaniard as the man to solve his striker shortage.
The Magpies are desperately trying to bolster their firepower this summer.
And Toon boss Benitez views the 27-year-old as the affordable option.
Newcastle insist they are yet to make a bid for Joselu.
But Benitez is very keen on bringing his countryman to St James' Park.
Joselu has been a man in form for the Potters this pre-season.
He has scored four goals for Mark Hughes’ side as they prepare for their return to the Premier League.
