ARSENAL star Lucas Perez has handed in a formal transfer request as he looks to escape his nightmare at the Emirates.
The Spaniard looks to be forcing a move away from the Gunners but they are refusing to let him leave for anything less than their £13.4million price tag.
His agent has confirmed his client has handed in a transfer request to leave the club after struggling for game time under Arsene Wenger.
The striker is seeking regular first-team football after scoring seven goals in 21 appearances for Arsenal last season.
And following the £52m arrival of Alexandre Lacazette, the 28-year-old appears to have slipped further down the pecking order.
The former Deportivo La Coruna star's agent, Rodrigo Fernandez Lovelle, believes Arsenal's price tag is too steep.
He told : "€15m (£13.4m) is an expensive price.
“Lucas wants to go to the World Cup and be happy at a place where he has opportunities to play.”
