West Ham fan gets Mexican flag tattooed on bum after Javier Hernandez signs for the Hammers

The supporter declared on twitter that if the 29-year-old signed for the club he would get his nations flag inked on his bottom

A WEST HAM fan has stayed true to his word by getting a Mexican flag tattooed on his bum after the club signed Javier Hernandez.

The supporter confidently declared on Twitter last month he would get the striker's nations flag inked on his bottom if they brought him in from Bayer Leverkusen.

Twitter user 'tappa1984' was more than happy to get the permanent ink carried out on his behind, vowing it's worth it if the East Londoners sign him.

Of course, the Hammers managed to capture the former Manchester United star in a £16million deal, where he rakes in a modest £140,000-a-week.

And any chance of backing out were made harder when David Sullivan Jnr - son of West Ham co-chairman David Sullivan, offered to pay for the tattoo.

Tappa showed off his new addition to his body earlier on today, tweeting: "Well this just happened... hi @CH14_ welcome to @WestHamUtd massive thanks to @DaveSulley for fronting the £."

The die hard fan even posted that there was a fair amount of pain.

He said: "Tattooing on ur a**e (sic) actually hurts a bit... unusual sensation..."

Hammers fans didn't have to wait too long to see Hernandez in the colours of claret and blue, as he featured against German minnows Altona 93 yesterday.

However, he couldn't help his new team-mates taste victory against the fifth-tier side, as they were held to a 3-3 draw in a thrilling encounter.

That was their penultimate pre-season fixture before the 29-year-old returns to his former stomping ground to face the Red Devils on August 12 in the opening match of the new campaign.

In 103 Premier League matches he banged in 37 goals, winning two league titles under Sir Alex Ferguson.
