Kelechi Iheanacho undergoing Leicester medical as he closes in on £25m move from Manchester City
KELECHI IHEANACHO is set for Leicester medical ahead of completing his £25million move from Man City.
The Nigerian, 20, will become the Foxes' fourth signing of the summer with the deal ending a long-running transfer saga.
The 2015-16 Premier League champions have had a fee agreed with City for the past fortnight.
But a legal battle between the striker's former and current agents over image rights held the move up.
The dispute has now been resolved and Leicester have the green light to get their man - with Riyad Mahrez seemingly on his way to Roma.
It will take Craig Shakespeare's summer spending past £57m.
The Foxes boss has signed goalkeeper Eldin Jakupovic, defender Harry Maguire from Hull and defensive midfielder Vicente Iborra from Sevilla.
Iheanacho, who formally signed for City on his 18th birthday in October 2014, has scored six times in ten appearances for his country.
But he was mainly confined to a supersub role at the Etihad.
His last league goal for Pep Guardiola's team came on December 26 in a 3-0 win at Hull.
As revealed by SunSport today, Iheanacho is facing problems in the US after allegations were made against him that he may have misled a court in Pennsylvania.
Iheanacho, 20, is embroiled in legal battles with his previous representatives, American-based First Eleven Management.
He pulled out of a contract with them two years ago to sign with Stellar, who look after Real Madrid's Gareth Bale.
Iheanacho filed pleadings that denied he knew or spent time with Henry Galeano, who separately claims he is his former agent.
