MANCHESTER CITY'S stars are 'openly discussing the arrival of Alexis Sanchez in a sensational £50million deal' this summer.
Pep Guardiola's squad are reportedly very confident the Chilean forward will opt to swap the Emirates for the Etihad Stadium, despite interest from Paris Saint-Germain.
The Spanish boss has been itching to add some attacking firepower to his squad this summer, with Sanchez - set to hand in a transfer request at Arsenal - just one target.
City had been keen to bring Monaco wonderkid Kylian Mbappe to the Premier League, but are set to lose out to Real Madrid for his signature.
The French striker, 18, had apparently signed a six-year deal at the Bernabeu after the Ligue 1 champions accepted a £161m bid.
However, Monaco hit back claiming no offer was in place and they would only accept a bid worth at least £180m.
That whopping fee has seen Guardiola turn back to Sanchez, who could be available for just £50m.
Man City face a fight for the Chilean star, though, from French giants Paris Saint-Germain - who themselves are very confident of landing the star.

One stumbling block for them, however, comes in the form of another transfer - Neymar.
PSG are hoping to conclude a £195m deal for the wantaway Brazilian, which means Sanchez may not be on the way to France, putting City in pole position.
Arsenal contract rebel Sanchez's international team-mate Claudio Bravo is confident the forward will be joining this summer.
Meanwhile, Guardiola has also hugely bolstered his squad with the signings of Ederson, Kyle Walker, Danilo, Benjamin Mendy, and Bernardo Silva.
However, Pep is still in the market for a forward, with City's stars confident Sanchez is inbound.
