Jakub Jankto in Arsenal sights as Arsene Wenger considers swoop for Udinese midfielder
Czech Republic international, 21, was watched by boss Wenger's scouts a number of times last season
ARSENAL are tracking Udinese midfielder Jakub Jankto.
The Czech Republic international, 21, was watched by Arsene Wenger's scouts last season.
And his agent claims the Gunners are one of a number of clubs keeping a close eye on Jankto.
The player is said to be a "lover" of the Premier League.
But Italian giants Juventus and Inter Milan are also in the hunt.
Jankto's representative Beppe Riso said: "Arsenal like him, he’s a lover of English football.
"He’s also liked by Juve, Inter and other teams.
"Still, he’s young, he’s 21 years old, he must be calm and he’s only thinking about Udinese.
"After that, we’ll see. Do I see him more in the Premier League than other Leagues? Yes."
Wenger wants to sign Monaco winger Thomas Lemar and is thought to have lodged a third bid of £45million.
ARSENAL TRANSFER NEWS
The Gunners boss has already signed Sead Kolasinac and Alexandre Lacazette this summer.
But his biggest priority is holding on to contract rebel Alexis Sanchez, who claims he is ill after Wenger ordered him back to the club for training on Sunday.
