Bayern Munich chief Karl-Heinz Rummenigge insists Arturo Vidal is not for sale at any price as Inter eye deal
Inter Milan are being warned off star midfielder Vidal, who is '100 per cent' not for sale
ARTURO VIDAL is '100 per cent' not for sale, according to Bayern chief Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.
Following a reported £44m bid from Inter, the CEO gave a hands-off warning that their Chilean midfielder is not going anywhere.
Rummenigge, a World Cup finalist in 1982 and 1986, said: "I can 100 per cent rule out Arturo's departure, for us he is a fundamental player.
"The decision to continue with Vidal was taken long ago. Ancelotti talked with him: the door is 100 per cent closed.
“This is regardless of the offer: when Bayern decide not to sell a player, the fee does not matter."
The Veteran midfielder is yet to return to training, after his participation in the Confederations Cup.
Chile got all the way to the final where they ultimately lost 0-1 to Germany.
He has been a mainstay in the Munich team since joining from Juventus two years ago.
Bayern are intent on keeping their vital midfield anchorman, after team-mate Renato Sanches' recent links away from the Allianz Arena, with AC Milan and Manchester United both interested parties.
Rummenigge expressed his interest in keeping the Portuguese midfielder for the long-term.
The young star has struggled to get into the Bayern first team, but a loan move could be considered.
"He wants to play consistently but at Bayern Munich that is not easy," Rummenigge added.
"At least 10 teams would take him. He is a very in-demand player.
"A year ago he was at the top level, let's not forget that."
