Alexis Sanchez to PSG: Ligue 1 club submit improved offer of £44million after having £35m bid knocked back from Arsenal
The Chilean international only has a year left on his deal at the Emirates, with Unai Emery desperate to bring him to France
PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN have made an improved offer of £44million for Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez, according to reports in France.
The Ligue 1 giants saw a previous bid of £35m rebuffed by the Gunners, with Arsene Wenger adamant he will not sell his prized asset.
According to France Football, Les Parisiens have submitted an official offer, believing this should tempt the FA Cup champions into doing business, with the also confirming the reports.
Sanchez only has a year left on his deal at the Emirates, with the 28-year-old previously stating his intention of playing for a club in the Champions League.
SunSport understands the former Barcelona winger has already held talks with the Coupe de France victors at a plus Paris hotel to talk to the club's sporting director Antero Henrique.
Speaking of the rumours he was in France in a bid to seal a move, Wenger strenuously denied the claims, as well as declaring he has not asked to leave.
He said: "No, I don’t think he was in Paris. No.
"He has not asked to leave. PSG cannot get Sanchez, so they are going for Neymar.

Premier League rivals Manchester City are also in the hunt to lure the Chilean international away from North London, with Pep Guardiola poised to test the North London club's resolve.
According to recent reports, Sanchez is even willing to take a pay cut to join the Citizens and link up once again with the Spanish boss.
Arsenal remain locked in talks to bring in Monaco's 21-year-old Thomas Lemar to the Emirates - a possible replacement for the ex-Udinese man.
