Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane hints at mega-money move for Kylian Mbappe

The Madrid boss hails Monaco youngster Kylian Mbappe as speculation surrounding a transfer to the Bernabeu continues

ZINEDINE ZIDANE has sung the praises of Kylian Mbappe, but the Real Madrid boss continues to keep his cards close to his chest regarding a possible transfer.

Monaco are reluctant to let the 18-year-old out of their grasp, so he will be expected to fetch around £120million if he is to leave this summer.

: "He is very good.

"He is a talent, he is 18 years old, he has personality.

"He is very good as a player and has shown it all year, but he is not a player of mine. Apart from what I'm telling you, I can not tell you more."

The 18-year-old scored 26 times in his breakthrough season as Monaco won the Ligue 1 title and reached the semi-finals of the Champions League.

As a result, there are a number of Europe's biggest clubs scrambling for his signature - including Arsenal, Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City.

Zidane's personal relationship with the striker gives Madrid an advantage in the race, but the manager is reluctant to release any further details.

There has been ongoing speculation surrounding Cristiano Ronaldo's future at the club - which was believed to fuel Madrid's interest in Mbappe.

However, Fernando Morientes has confirmed that the four-time Ballon d'Or winner will be staying at the Bernabeu next term.

The 32-year-old expressed his desire to leave following accusations from the Spanish tax authorities.

Following the departure of Alvaro Morata from the Spanish giants - Madrid are set to be left with just one recognised centre-forward.
