Jack Wilshere open to joining boyhood club West Ham if they can agree fee with Arsenal
The 25-year-old could be set for a move from north to east London if the Hammers agree to his price tag
JACK WILSHERE is reportedly open to the possibility of a move across London to join West Ham this season.
Arsenal have put a price tag of £20m on their midfielder, who only has 12 months left on his current contact.
The are reporting a move to the London Stadium could be next on the agenda for the 25-year-old.
Wilshere is said to have supported West Ham as a boy, and still follows the club on twitter, but has played for Arsenal since he joined the youth academy aged just 9.
Slaven Bilic has already made three signings this summer, their latest being forward Javier Hernandez from German club Bayer Leverkusen.
He has secured two players from Manchester City so far, confirming full-back Pablo Zabaleta and a season-long loan with goal keeper Joe Hart.
Wilshere had tweeted earlier this week that Hart was a good signing, perhaps an indication that he would be happy to play with his England teammate.
The signings are proof Bilic wants the Hammers to finish higher than 11th, but moves so far this summer have proved big names will not come cheap.
Arsenal Transfer News
Arsenal have set a hefty price-tag on Wilshere as a result of the costs of their potential signings.
Wilshere was just 16 years old when he made his first-team debut under Arsene Wenger and set the record as the Gunners' youngest-ever league player.
He has been plagued with injuries throughout his career and his season-long loan last year at Bournemouth was cut short with a fracture to his fibula.
The lower-leg injury resulted in Wilshere returning to Arsenal for treatment after making 29 appearances for the Cherries.
His future in North London is currently uncertain but the midfielder, who got married this summer, wouldn't necessarily need to uproot with a move to a London club.
