ALVARO MORATA has revealed Antonio Conte was a key factor in him signing for Chelsea in a £65million deal this summer.
The Spanish forward, 24, landed in London on Thursday morning as he looks to complete his medical and finalise a move to the Blues.
Morata claimed the influence of Italian chief Conte was vital in him swapping Real Madrid for the Premier League champions.
When asked why he agreed to join Chelsea, Morata said: "Chelsea is the best club.
"Antonio Conte is one of the best coaches in the world and I am so happy to work with him."
Morata also asked how close he was to joining Manchester United, with Jose Mourinho's side the favourites to land him earlier this summer.
On the question, the Spaniard answered: "I don't know. The most important thing is I am here and will play for Chelsea."
The striker also revealed he is happy to be playing in the Premier League, calling it one of the "world's best".
