Alexis Sanchez to PSG: Sporting director in London to try to finalise a stunning deal for Arsenal star
French giants desperate to land Chilean in big-money deal as they also chase world-record move for Barcelona's Neymar
PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN have reportedly sent their sporting director to London in a bid to finalise a deal for Alexis Sanchez.
Le Parisien via GFFN claims Antero Henrique is in the capital and will attempt to broker a deal with Arsenal for the Chilean forward.
Sanchez looks increasingly likely to leave the Emirates this summer after failing to agree a contract extension.
The 28-year-old has just one year left on his current Gunners deal.
And PSG are ready to swoop with a big-money bid after losing their Ligue 1 title to Monaco last season.
Arsene Wenger insists Sanchez will be staying put during the window, but Manchester City are also keen and may be willing to match an offer from the French giants.
Meanwhile, PSG are also chasing an audacious deal for Barcelona forward Neymar.
Unai Emery has apparently instructed club chiefs to activate the Brazilian’s £195million release clause.
Fresh reports coming out of his homeland claim that Neymar has told friends he will be heading to the French capital for a fresh challenge.
And Emery is remaining hopeful that PSG can pull off the deal, which will more than double the current world record transfer fee.
He said: “Neymar has progressed a lot, the club is working to attract top five players. It’s not easy but we might succeed.”
