SWANSEA have reportedly made an approach to re-sign Wilfried Bony.
The Manchester City striker spent last season on loan at Stoke and looks surplus to Pep Guardiola's requirements at the Etihad.
say Swansea have made an enquiry about the possibility of bringing Bony, 28, back to South Wales.
But Paul Clement's team face competition from West Brom, Marseille, Lille, Besiktas and Fenerbahce.
Bony - who was left off City's pre-season tour - and his representatives are now said to be considering their options.
The Swans made a £16million profit on the Ivorian when they flogged him to City for £28m in January 2015.
But he has netted just six times in 36 Prem games for City and was loaned out when Guardiola came in at the start of last season.
As revealed by SunSport, his Potters contract contained a clause which allowed him to leave in January.
But despite playing only six minutes in December for Mark Hughes, Bony snubbed the offer from China.
He then failed to play another minute for Sparky after returning from the Africa Cup of Nations in January.
If Swans can capture Bony they will hope he can rekindle the form that earned him his move to City.
