Inter Milan make Arturo Vidal bid worth £44million as Bayern Munich star is lined up by new boss Luciano Spalletti
Chile international could be tempted by Serie A return after successful spell with Juventus as Inter make move for ace
INTER MILAN have reportedly launched a £44million bid for Arturo Vidal.
The Bayern Munich star is arguably the world’s best box-to-box midfielder.
And Gazzetta dello Sport via claims the Inter hierarchy are desperate for Vidal to return to Italy after his successful stint at Juventus.
The Chile international is believed to be happy at Bayern but could be tempted by a second Serie A spell if the price is right.
Inter are backed by a super-rich Chinese consortium and would be able to offer Vidal a lucrative contract.
New boss Luciano Spalletti is a big fan of dynamic midfielders and made the similar Radja Nainggolan the heartbeat of his team at former side Roma.
Veteran playmaker Borja Valero has already arrived at the San Siro this summer.
And he could now be joined in the centre of the park by Vidal, who would come with a real winner’s reputation.
Inter Milan transfer news
Inter would be able to afford the deal by offloading Ivan Perisic, who is a target for Manchester United.
The Red Devils are in negotiations over a £48m deal for the Croatian winger.
But they will have to move quickly if they want Perisic to join them in Los Angeles after he was selected to travel for Inter’s pre-season training camp in China this weekend.
