CRISTIANO RONALDO is happy at Real Madrid and does not want to leave, according to Fernando Morientes.
The four-time Ballon d'Or winner was linked with shock move to Manchester United after allegations of tax fraud against him.
But former Los Blancos star Morientes believes the Portugal talisman will stay in Spain.
Morientes - who won three Champions Leagues and two La Liga titles with Real - said: "I haven't heard Cristiano saying he wants to leave.
"I already know how this works… At the end of every season there are a lot of rumours and doubts on the big players. Ronaldo is one of them.
"I am calm because he hasn't spoken… At the time when he speaks, we will see.
"But I am pretty sure that Cristiano is so happy at Real Madrid, and Real Madrid is happy with Cristiano. So it will be complicated [if he leaves]."
Ronaldo was reportedly not happy with the lack of the club's backing of him in his tax fraud case.

That prompted rumours of a return to Old Trafford, where he left in 2009 for Madrid in a then-world record £80million deal.
But interest from the Premier League giants has cooled with Jose Mourinho describing a move as "mission impossible".
Paris Saint-Germain were also linked with an attempt at nabbing the former Sporting Lisbon star.
